AddressTwo is a cloud-based software company based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Its flagship product is a web application and mobile app for small businesses that serves as a customer relationship management (CRM) tool and an Email Marketing tool built into one system.

History edit

AddressTwo was founded as Carter and Company, LLC on October 15th, 2003 as a marketing consulting firm focused on small businesses [1] by Nick Carter. In 2008, the company introduced AddressTwo, assumed the name of its new product, and moved forward as a software company.

In 2014, AddressTwo released it's first major release in 6 years, together with a companion brand ProtoCRM. The most notable capability included in the release was the ability to create White-label product versions of the CRM.[2] Today, notable direct sales company Vector Marketing has a white-label version of AddressTwo available to its independent representatives, as does EmbroidMe for its 400+ franchisees.

Refusal of Venture Capital edit

To-date, AddressTwo remains privately and wholly owned by founder, Nick Carter. In his book 'Unfunded' Nick Carter alleges at least three instances when venture capital was offered and refused[3] but no public record or securities filing can verify the offers. Indiana Secretary of State filings do confirm that as of 11/1/2016 Carter and Company, LLC (dba AddressTwo) is a single-member LLC with the sole managing member being Nicholas R. Carter.[4]
