Hello there, I am a female Iranian interested in various subjects including linguistics, ancient civilizations, documentaries (esp. BBC's), yoga, gemstone, reiki, dictionaries, ..., and last but not the least: reference resources (that explains why I am here). The following talk resulted in my first semi-serious contribution here, so I'm keeping it here for awhile for my own record.

ابراهیم حاتمی کیا The language of this article is unknown. Jibbles | Talk 02:01, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

There's no article with that title, but the title is in Arabic. -- Meyer 02:45, 19 July 2006 (UTC) "Ibrahim Hatima Kia" is the transliterated title, and I'm sorry for deleting the entry for what I thought was a deleted article. -Fsotrain09 03:32, 19 July 2006 (UTC) It was deleted; I restored it after another admin deleted it out of process. It seems to be about a person... If this person is notable this could be a useful starting point. I'd like to run it through the full process. Grandmasterka 03:42, 19 July 2006 (UTC) Alright, well, my guess is the language is Kurdish. -Fsotrain09 04:08, 19 July 2006 (UTC) Actually, it is written in Persian, and yes, it's the name of a person- a famous director who start to direct movies about Iran-Iraq's war from a different perspective. I like his works, and I think he deseves to have an article here on Wikipedia. This is how the name is spelled in English: Ebrahim/Ibrahim Hatami kia. -Nimak20 July 2006 Are you offering to translate the article into English, Nimak? -Fsotrain09 18:46, 20 July 2006 (UTC) Yes, I'll work on it. However, I may need some guidance since I haven't done anything here from the scratch. My first question is that considering the original article is a stub, may I add a few things to that (his birthday, for example)? One more thing, there is no reference in the article and I have nothing here at hand to refer to. -Nimak21 July 2006 Add what you have to the translation, and then ideally find references to support the details, or, if that can't be done, place the references template at the top of the article. Thanks for your efforts! -Fsotrain09 02:57, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
