D. Scott Peterson is a Canadian journalist. He has worked as the Morning Business Anchor with Global News(CIII-TV) and as a general reporter with Canada's financial news network, Business News Network. Peterson has broadcast from numerous places across Canada, both as a reporter and correspondent reporting live on events including the 2005 London Subway Bombings and the European financial panic that followed. He also broadcast live from the 2008 Detroit_Auto_Show, and filed numerous reports during the Financial_Crisis of 2007-2009. Peterson has also produced packages on the lighter side of news with BNN's hit series The Good Life. Peterson graduated from Queen's_University in Kingston Ontario with an undergraduate degree, and a graduate journalism degree from Ryerson_University. Before becoming a broadcaster, Peterson spent over a decade in the Canadian investment industry, starting as a clerk with Wood Gundy, rising to an Equities/Derivative trader with TD Waterhouse. Peterson is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute. He joined Business Watch Canada as a markets reporter in September 2009.
