10 Radio
10Radio is a community owned radio station based in Wiveliscombe in Somerset, UK. It runs live broadcasts from Croft Cottage, West Street, Wiveliscombe, and also has a mobile broadcasting unit which broadcasts from all over Somerset. It began in 2004 and broadcasts on 105.3 FM and also streams on the internet. It is named after the 10 Parishes which it services, Ashbrittle, Bathealton, Brompton Ralph, Chipstable, Clatworthy, Fitzhead, Huish Champflower, Milverton, Stawley and Wiveliscombe.
10Radio's shows include 'The Varmint Show', a youth music show, 'The Breakfast Show' and 'The Electric Briefcase' and 'Somerset is GO!' a talk show about the effects of economic recession on Somerset.
10Radio is formally constituted as a Community Interest Company limited by guarantee, and no private profit is made. 10Radio has 10 Directors, elected by the members of the Company. The Chair is Julian Mellor. Board and Community meetings are held bi-monthly.
