Youssef Mohamad Barakat (Arabic: يوسف محمد بركات; born 9 May 1998) is a Lebanese footballer who plays as an midfielder for Lebanese Premier League club Bourj, on loan from Ansar.

Club career edit

Senegal edit

Born in Senegal, Barakat played for Dakar Sacré-Cœur in 2016–17, winning the Ligue 2, and Renaissance de Dakar in 2017–18, finishing runner-up in the Senegal FA Cup.[2]

Salam Zgharta edit

Barakat signed for Lebanese Premier League side Salam Zgharta in summer 2018.[3] He played 19 league games, 17 as a starter,[4] and in the 2018–19 Arab Club Champions Cup, in the round of 32 against Moroccan side Raja.[5]

Ansar and loans edit

On 28 August 2019, Barakat joined Shabab Sahel,[6] on loan from Ansar.[7] He terminated his loan with Shabab Sahel on mutual terms on 17 March 2020.[8] On 30 September 2020, Barakat moved back to Shabab Sahel on loan, in a swap deal involving Hussein El Dor moving to Ansar.[9]

Barakat returned from loan to Ansar in May 2021, to compete in the 2021 AFC Cup.[10] He was loaned out to Bourj for the 2022–23 season, in a deal worth $15,000.[11]
