AllMusic's Heather Phares gave the album 4/5 stars and noted that it "does an admirable job of boiling down their sprawling quarter-century stint on Warner Bros. into a slightly more manageable three-disc set" and concluded that "Released during a time when hits collections often seemed obsolete, Greatest Hits, Vol. 1 caters to all levels of Flaming Lips fans and does it well".[1]

Bob's Burgers is an upcoming film adaptation of the animated TV show Bob's Burgers, which follows the daily life of a family that runs a burger shop. Loren Bouchard, the show's creator, has stated in interviews that the movie "has to scratch every itch the fans of the show have ever had, but it also has to work for all the good people who've never seen the show". 20th Century Fox chairman and CEO Stacey Snider noted that a Bob's Burgers film "film fits perfectly with our initiative to redouble our family and animation efforts. We're grateful to (Fox Television Group chairmen Gary Newman and Dana Walden) for trusting us with this beloved property and we're so excited to be working with Loren and his team". The film is currently set to be released on July 17, 2020.[2]

AllMusic's Heather Phares gave the album 3.5/5 stars and stated that the album "is an entertaining reminder of just how much the band changed over the years", concluding that it's "a suitably gonzo document of the early days of one of indie's most idiosyncratic yet definitive acts".[3]

AllMusic's Heather Phares gave the album 2.5/5 stars and noted that "a few of the songs do work pretty well", but ultimately concluded that the album "doesn't really offer anything that a mix of the original songs -- such as Now That's What I Call Music! -- wouldn't provide equally well".[4]
