I am a NREMT-certified Paramedic and Biology and pre-PA student at the University of New Orleans with personal interests in the subjects of pharmacology and neurology. I'm an activist for and proponent of the ethical tenets of Evidence-Based Medicine.

I believe that part of being a good care provider is patient advocacy and that we, as educated practitioners in the Applied Sciences, have a duty to patient and non-patient laypersons alike to act as trustworthy educators and guardians of the medical-related information disseminated in our presence--and that part of informed consent is to actively pursue opportunities to disenchant the medical sciences for those in as well as those whom we might someday find in our care: to light the dark with solid, unbiased, peer-reviewed information so that we, as a community, are enabled and empowered to make better decisions for ourselves.

My aim here is to serve as a neutral watchdog and provide careful, well-thought edits where necessary. I will more likely suggest edits to more-accomplished physicians and specialists than myself in an attempt to apply the ethics of the peer-review process even to those things which I know to be correct.
