Gameplay edit

Rayman Redemption is a remake to the 1995 platform game Rayman, originally released for the Atari Jaguar and other video game systems. Like the original, it is a side-scrolling platform game however, it included high-definition video and featured new worlds, minigames and bosses.[1][2]

Development and release edit

Rayman Redemption was released on June 19, 2020 and being hosted on GameJolt for free.[3]

Reception edit

PC Gamer noting that the game has an option for casual and masocore players, and also considering it a fortune for players traumatized by the game's high difficultly.[2] Kotaku considered the original game as "old as hell" and felt that Ryemanni decided not just recreate it, but also add new additions to it as well. They praised how players who are scarred by the game's difficultly, can play the game with an easy difficulty to pick.[4] TheGamer was impressed by its visual and describing it "truly commendable" especially it's a fan-led project created by a single person in three years.[1]
