Mark Sletten is a retired, 20-year veteran of the US Air Force. He spent the majority of his career flying backwards as a KC-135 Boom Operator. He amassed over 5000 hours of flying time including 60+ combat missions in support of Operations Desert Storm and Allied Force. His military decorations include two Meritorious Service Medals and three Air Medals.

Since retirement, he has worked for FlightSafety Services Corporation developing and maintaining the courseware used for KC-135E pilot training in the simulator at Scott AFB, IL. He holds a Bachelor's Degree from Southern IL University.

He spends the majority of his free time building a Lancair Legacy FG experimental aircraft from a kit (see http://www.legacyfgbuilder.com).
