I have decided to begin awarding users, whose articles or contributions are of excellent quality, or to users who have contributed greatly to the English language Wikipedia.

Three categories will be awarded:

  • The Bronze medal can be given to contributors who have written an excellent article, who have improved an text significantly or to an user who have improved the form or the content of the English language Wikipedia in an excellent way.
  • The Silver medal can be awarded users who have written or improved several articles to high quality and standards under a longer period of time, or to users whose contributions have led to a significant improvement of the English language Wikipedia during a longer period of time.
  • The Gold medal can be awarded users who have improved and strengthened the Wikipedia's position as an Encyclopedia.
