MM RUNGASAMY
Mardaymootoo Moonsamy Rungasamy was a member of the British Army and served during the Second World War.
Later in life, after serving in her Majesty’s Army and receiving a bravery award, he entered politics and won local elections.
He was known for his pragmatism, leadership, intellect and for being tenacious. His politics was mostly centre-left, with strong views on economic discipline and the family as a foundational element in society.
He is the grandfather of Dr Kevin Richard, Dr Diana Richard, Barrister Steven N Rungasamy and Solicitor Zen Rungasamy.
