When I first asked a colleague "what's this internet all about", he showed me CompuServe and started me on the slippery slope kicking off with a numeric email address and notepad as an html text editor. Haven't dared tiptoe into Wikipedia territory (other than the occasional contribution) until now - 2017 - and that's prompted by an island that's been part of family life since 1950. I'm sure I'll contribute to Wikipedia more widely as I learn but to begin with, my focus is on the beautiful island of Sark.
Any input from experienced and knowledgeable editors on this page or any of my other contributions will be gratefully received.
The Isle of Sark edit
The Isle of Sark is an independent jurisdiction with autonomy in domestic affairs. It is part of the Crown Dependency of the Bailiwick of Guernsey which, before you start, is not the same as being part of Guernsey. The two have different Parliaments and legal / constitutional positions.
Unfortunately, non-experts can confuse Sark and Guernsey and sometimes this confusion carries over into Wikipedia - which is why I have started down the slippery slope of editing. Who knows where this will lead :)
