Chauhdary Shah Muhammad Arain Chauhdary Shah Muhammad Arain- A name that is unforgettable, whenever name of ARAINS will be talked about. He was a person, born in 1893 in 86/6R, a village of Sahiwal. He was only brother of his 6 sisters. Although his father were 7 brothers, but among 7 brothers, only 1 brother had son, and he was Chauhdary Muhammad Boota(Father of Chauhdary Shah Muhammad Arain). His Father was the Lumberdar(The owner and decision maker among the villagers). He got his education at early stages from Sahiwal. He was fond of doing travelling, get knowledge about different caste and clans of Pakistan, different cultures of Pakistan and agriculture,therefore he migrated to Umarkot Sind for further agricultural activities. After reaching sind, there was a place named as Kunri, he settled there. He started his agricultural farming over there. By the grace of Almighty Allah, he got lot of Profits in his agricultural activities. He then bought lot of agricultural lands in area of kunri, according to some estimates it was almost 8000 acres of land he purchased later on in kunri, umarkot, naukot, Jhuddo, Talhi, Sabri and Mirpur Khas. When Chauhdary Shah Muhammad reached that area of Kunri, he didn't know how to read or write sindhi, so he used to do agricultural farming in day time and study at night time. Meanwhile, after sometime he got married. God blessed him with 5 daughters & 6 sons, afterwards from 3 weddings. Chauhdary Shah Muhammad was the 1st person, who started putting the word Arain with his name. He is the most famous personality of Arain clan in areas of Tharparkar and Sahiwal.

Elections and elected candidates edit

Chauhdary Shah Muhammad was the Person who contested the elections 3 times in his life and never lost the elections even single time. He remained Mayor Of Umarkot District 2 times. He was the 1st person to go to that area from Arain clan. In area of tharparkar, Arain family is famous due to Chauhdary Shah Muhammad Arain. He was the basic Representative of Arain Family in that area.

Help of Immigrants and work for education edit

On 14th august 1947, when Pakistan came into being, people were restless, they don't have even money to purchase something and bread to eat. Chauhdary Shah Muhammad and his cousin Chauhdary Niaz Muhammad ( A famous person in Montgomery district in Pakistan Movement) started relief and refugee camps inside their respective areas of sahiwal and Umarkot. Food, medical facilities and residence of refugees were afforded by Chauhdary Shah Muhammad himself. Chauhdary Shah Muhammad, approved the school in Goth Rasoolabad. This school is present till the date. Mr. Akram Arain, ex. Chairman LESCO, Mr. Muhammad Aslam DGM H.I.T. & lot of other famous personalities have got their education from that school. Later on, he opened schools in his agricultural farms also, so that students can study well. His efforts for education in Interior sind are unforgettable ones.

Stand against Feudalsim edit

For a Punjabi, it is most toughest work to go to interior sind and to talk against feudalism, Umarkot is called as the House of feudalism. He told the people that treat people in good manners. Don't use the old traditions of Vani and Kaaro kaari. Islam tells us peace and prosperity. Do follow it. He made them to understand that leave old conservative thinking and think with better vision for people of SIND. In area of interior sind, it was not allowed to children of workers to study but Chauhdary Shah Muhammad Arain, asked them to study, made schools, put efforts to educate them properly.

Death and family existence after him edit

Chauhdary Shah Muhammad Arain died on August 1st 1978 in jaamshoro Medical hospital due to hepatitis. His sons are still in are of Kunri Pak named as Chauhdary Muhammad Ashraf, Chauhdary Muhammad Aslam, Chauhdary farooq and Chauhdary Zulfiqar Ahmad. In Sahiwal district, Chauhdary Khurshid Ahmed and Chauhdary Tahir Hameed represnt his family. His efforts for Arain caste, for Pakistan movement, for peace and prosperity in his area and for education will be remembered ever. May his soul rest in peace & Almighty allah bless him.
