William J. 'Bill' McCalpin is a consultant in the electronic document and content management industries. He has lived in both the United States and Italy, and currently lives in Richardson, Texas.

He has two degrees in Political Philosophy from the University of Dallas, and speaks a number of languages (probably badly) besides English: Italian, Spanish, and German, as well as reads Latin, French and Portuguese, and to a lesser extent, Catalan and Romanian. He also has some practical or academic experience with Old English, Irish Gaelic, Russian, and Greek.

He has developed a website for the acquisition of a second language in a linguistic family at Second-Language.com .

He is currently working on a website to review, confirm, or debunk local political rumors at Rumorcheck.org
