Summary:
1.Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and it combines several features. However, it is not the place for putting your point of view, advertising or promoting yourself, and it has certain guidelines.
2.Articles are to be written from a neutral point of view, with veritable sources, i.e. not opinions, interpretations or experience.
3.On Wikipedia, you don't own articles, it is free content to be edited and re-distributed.
4.Treat fellow editors with respect-avoid personal attacks, assume good faith, do not edit to make a point
5.The rules are not carved in stone:the rules evolve, and as such, do not worry too much about mistakenly breaking some in good faith.

1. You have been told by a friend that there was a record heatwave in Kathmandu yesterday. Could you add this to an article? Explain
Perhaps if there's appropriate sources: news articles and on. Or if my friend is a specialist in that field, I might be considering referring to an article by him or else it would be :too fallacious to trust a friend's hypothesis. By the way, heatwaves haven't been recorded in Kathmandu so far since it's a valley!

2. You see a great article on the NTV website about Chief Justice Khil Raj Regmi's search for a new leader. You decide that it is so good, it deserves a Wikipedia page. You copy the page, and create it a Wikipedia article, and paste it there. Is this the right thing to do? Explain
No, it's wrong because it's plagiarism. Copying is strictly a no-no for me, be it either academic, poetry writing or even in Wikipedia writing. However, I might re-write on my own way and give proper references if it deserves a page!

3. You think that the article on Nepal is not showing enough about the fascinating workings of the TV service. You edit in how you know it works, helping people with your review of the service. Is this right? Explain
I am not fascinated by the TV service and I don't think it deserves a lengthy space in Nepal page. I might a small summary of how it works but wouldn't in anyway review a particular TV station because I do not prefer siding with any TV service or whatsoever. I don't edit to get paid but because I like to work for disseminating what's right and what's wrong--be it TV service or any others.

Certainly. I know him personally and he's an internationally acclaimed poet of Nepal. But just because I know him personally doesn't mean I would add exaggerating stuffs in his article. I think it's important to record real-time events in Wikipedia too.
This doesn't really meet with the standard of this, or the first pillar-Wikipedia is not a newspaper, and the event needs to have "significant, non-routine coverage that persists over a period of time. Coverage should be in multiple reliable sources with national or global scope", which seeing Sharma at a book fair probably won't get
5. You create a page on your sandbox about the environment of Nepal. You go back a couple of days later, and find it has been copied, and created by another user. Is this right? Explain
No, it is not right. As I explained previously that I'm strongly against plagiarism in any forms I'd request the user of what he's done and in my capacity take necessary actions. What I write shouldn't be copied by another user and take the credit by himself. This is wrong.
Although I agree that it is immoral, it is within the Wikipedia rules, with it being said that "No one, no matter how skilled, or of how high standing in the community, has the right to act as though he or she is the owner of a particular article." Additionally, when you click save page, there is a bar above it which has the words "you irrevocably agree to release your contribution".
6. You see some text shamelessly copied from one of your articles on a leading news site. You consider action, as they have not acknowledged using your page! What should you do? Explain
This is a key issue I'm suffering at the moment! Recently one Nepali guy quoted from an interview from my website but didn't mention the website's name at all. His article was published in The Kathmandu Post. I haven't been able to take proper action though I wrote to his Uni and to TKP. But yes I want to take action and I think I need to report to Wikipedia about the copying and talk with the news site too about the plagiarism. I believe Wikipedia would certainly take actions on my behalf.
Although I again agree that it is immoral, it is licensed to be shamelessly and bandied around without attribution, "If you contribute text directly to Wikipedia, you thereby license it to the public for reuse". However, your website may have different rules to these, you may need to contact your web address provider to find out about this...
7. A user swears all over your userpage (it happens) for undoing his edits to a page. Do you do the same to him? Explain
No, I don't. I don't prefer using swear language. I'd rather give him my reasons as why I edited his page and if he's problem he'd rather complain to a higher authority for further review whether my edit was right or wrong.

8. A new user has completely changed one of the articles you created, so you undo his edits, then post a vandalism warning on his user page. Is this right? Explain
Of course. Vandalism is a key issue in Wikipedia and Internet. It's the motto of Wikipedia editors and other administrators to make sure that no articles ought to be vandalised.
You need to not bite newcomers, so it is preferable to give them a good faith warning if it can be done. However, this is right if it is obviously vandalism.
9. You make a mistake, copying an article from NTV onto a Wikipedia article. What can you do?
I realise my mistake and remove the article or else I would re-write and give reference to the original article.

10. You see an obviously vandalized article on something you know nothing about. Do you change it back again? Explain
Of course not. I'd rather report it to other editors. I should know something about it or else I'd first research about the topic and when knowing enough about it I'd later change it back.

- Hi Dan,
- Writing autobiographies on Wikipedia is discouraged, as it is felt to induce bias in the editing of said article. Also, sources (are meant to include good sources from places such as news companies, but this may not always be possible to get, for example on historical articles. I see that you have created articles, The Applicant, and Arun Budhathoki. These both seem to be about you, which as I have said is discouraged. A good place to look, if you are more of the type of person who creates articles, is the requested pages. However, you may need to judge for yourself how notable all the subjects are... (Young Uttam Sanjel is the only Thai biography requested at current.)
