This article is a list of comic book character that have returned from the dead. Due to the phenomenon of comic book death many fictional characters in mainstream superhero comics have died and subsequently returned from the dead.

Spoiler (Stephanie Brown) Batman #633 (December 2004) Tortured and the injuries led to her death by Black Mask. Medical care that may have saved her life was deliberately withheld by Dr. Leslie Thompkins. Robin #174 (July 2008) It is revealed that her death was faked by Leslie Thompkins so villains could not use her against Batman as Black Mask had done.
Superboy (Kon-El/Conner Kent) Infinite Crisis #6 (May 2006) Injured during an attempt to beat Superboy-Prime and then killed when caught in the explosion of Alexander Luthor's tower sacrificing his life. Final Crisis: Legion of 3 Worlds #4 (April 2009) Revived in a regeneration matrix.

Final Crisis: Legion of 3 Worlds #5 (July 2009) Revealing that she has gained the ability to create vast numbers of duplicate bodies, and now goes by the name "Duplicate Damsel". She also reveals that Una was the second and last of her original duplicates.

Young Frankenstein World War III #3 (April 2007) Dies of injuries after Black Adam rips off his arms. DC Infinite Halloween Special one-shot (December 2007) Struck by lightning and his body was blown to bits, and the individual pieces began moving on their own, he able to pull himself back together in Albania.

Magik (Illyana Nikolaevna Rasputina) Uncanny X-Men #303 (August 1993) Legacy Virus. X-Men Return Of Magik one-shot (November 2008) At some point, a rift was opened between Earth and Limbo, pulling several of the X-Men into the realm where Belasco captured and tortured some of them. Magik assisted them in battle and managed to free them. She also taught Pixie a teleportation spell. Following the destruction of the Xavier Institute, Illyana returned to Earth after realizing it was in her power.
