Your recent edits edit

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 16:33, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

Yes I know Sinebot. I've done pages of signed work. I just forgot that time. Cheek. :P ::Manors:: talk to me 16:58, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

Unspecified source for Image:Britanniacsc.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Britanniacsc.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 12:48, 14 February 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 12:48, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

Please stop uploading images from other web pages edit

As you've probably noticed from the above messages, a large number of images that you've uploaded have been listed as possibly (probably) unfree (at WP:PUI).

The basic problem is that you seem to be taking images that you find on other web pages and uploading them onto Wikipedia, erroneously tagging them as GFDL-licensed. Realize that images on the Web are copyrighted by default, with no permission to redistribute by default, and are unusable in Wikipedia (except in the very rare cases where you can find an explicit permission from the copyright holder to use/distribute/sell the image under the GFDL etcetera).

There are very narrow exceptions to this under fair use, and a tiny fraction of image (those more than a century old) are public domain. But until you have a better understanding of copyright law, the best practice is simply this: don't upload images taken from other Web sites.

On the other hand, images that you create entirely on your own, e.g. photos that you take yourself, or illustrations that you create yourself, are welcome. (With some exceptions: e.g. if you take a photo of a copyrighted painting, that's a derived work and unusable on Wikipedia.)

See Wikipedia:Copyrights and WP:TAG for more information.

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Nexus.png edit

Thank you for uploading Image:Nexus.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 16:03, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Unconstructive contributions edit

I see from reviewing contributions such as User:Manors/Reviews that most of your recent efforts on Wikipedia are, to say the least, not in alignment with Wikipedia's goals. Please stop this immediately. -- The Anome (talk) 14:54, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

I will do whatever I want. ::Manors:: talk to me 16:44, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
Thank you for your reply. Since the page cited above appears to have been created entirely with the purpose of disparaging an identifiable living person, I have deleted it, and several other similar pages, as attack pages.
Wikipedia is not a free web host. You appear to have an obsession with someone called Rob Spurr, and are using Wikipedia as a free web host to support it. You also appear to like writing "spurr is gay" on talk pages, and creating pages in article space about people called Spurr. Can you please explain why Wikipedia should expend its resources on supporting any of these activities?
Further research [1], [2] suggests that this is may not be the only account you have edited from, and the contributions of this IP address also feature Spurr-related vandalism, including, tellingly, one edit to your talk page. -- The Anome (talk) 15:22, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
I will happily speak to you about this, assuming we use our real names. I feel stupid talking a username. I am Adam. ::Manors:: talk to me 16:42, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
Hi there Adam. I'm the Anome. I'm afraid I'm not so much interested in a conversation, as in being assured that you will only use Wikipedia for constructive purposes in future, and in particular desist from creating pages which attack named living individuals. If you stick to constructive editing, you are unlikely to have any further problems editing here. -- The Anome (talk) 20:41, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
Ok. ::Manors:: talk to me 16:44, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Larry Sanger, you will be blocked from editing. Dawn bard (talk) 14:25, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

Attacks in the article Rob Spurr edit

Please do not make personal attacks as you did at Rob Spurr. Wikipedia has a strict policy against personal attacks. Attack pages and images are not tolerated by Wikipedia and are speedily deleted. Users who continue to create or repost such pages and images, especially those in violation of our Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons policy, will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you. March 2008 edit

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, you will be blocked from editing. OnoremDil 14:26, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

You have been temporarily blocked from editing for vandalism of Wikipedia. Bradeos Graphon Βραδέως Γράφων (talk) 14:33, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

I have extended your block after discovering much chronic vandalism and impersonating an administrator in your history. The only reason that you have not been indefinitely blocked is that you have made contributions to Wikipedia in the past, if not so much recently. However, if you engage in any vandalism whatever after this block expires, you will indeed be permanently blocked. --Bradeos Graphon Βραδέως Γράφων (talk) 14:53, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

Wipe edit

Given your history of vandalism, and the various warnings about it on this page, please do not wipe away this page. If you do so again, I will consider that as an act of vandalism, and block you accordingly. - UtherSRG (talk) 14:54, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

It's my damn page!::Manors:: talk to me 15:15, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Yes, it is. however, you have proven yourself to be a nuisance. Wiping away the various warnings is covering up your misdeeds. Many admins look to see what's on your talk page to decide what actions to take when finding vandalism. If you wipe it away, it looks like you are a first offender, and you are certainly not a first offender. You have been given numerous warnings. Don't misbehave. - UtherSRG (talk) 16:09, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

I've read them, I don't need to be reminded of them all the time. Anyway I'm sick of the warnings being put back so I'm creating another account at my dads house so my IP is different. Bye. ::Manors:: talk to me 18:47, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

That will not be much help, as we will figure out that you ahve two accounts, and that is not allowed without express permission. - UtherSRG (talk) 19:07, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

No, you wont. I will use the account only on the alternative IP address.

Orphaned non-free media (Image:UpdatedTripadvisor.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:UpdatedTripadvisor.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. NotifyBot (talk) 14:02, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
