- Hi there! Thank you for reviewing the article. Please note that, whenever I contribute to Wikipedia, I typically take my cues from existing, already-approved articles. For this one, I would love to hear specifically why you believe the article is "too highly promotional". I'm confused as to why the example you gave--the third paragraph of the History section, copied below--seems promotional, as architecture firm Wiki pages usually mention where the firm does their work, especially firms with international projects, and the kind of work they do.
Today, NBW projects include public parks, academic institutions, botanical gardens, memorial landscapes, corporate campuses, and urban planning. The firm has worked in Mexico, Italy, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Canada, China, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States.
- If you have suggestions for improvement, I'd be happy to take them into consideration and make edits.
- I am also aware of Wiki's notability guidelines and would be interested to hear why you say this article still needs to meet it.
- Hi. I'm not going to edit war with you here, but just wanted to note that per @DGG:'s advice above that your article go through review, it may not return "promptly" and others may revert the red link if they feel the same as I did. I note it has been done by another editor on at least one other page, so it does not appear you have consensus yet to link this firm StarM 16:55, 6 May 2020 (UTC)
My concern was not notability, but promotionalism
There are many hundred thousand articles in WP accepted in earlier years when the standards were lower that we need to either upgrade or remove. The least we can do is not add to them. Every one of those articles you mentioned is promotional and needs work, some of them very extensive work.
As a start for improving your article, remove material like "The firm's project at Memorial Park in Houston exemplifies its approach to public space. The firm is guiding the cultural and ecological revitalization of the almost 1,500-acre park. The project respects the logic of the land and ensures that Memorial Park can continue to function as one of Houston's most prized recreational and environmental historical assets. One challenge has been incorporating the many disparate parts of the park's program while supporting the overall ecology of the park" --this belongs in an advertisement, not an encyclopedia article. Don't use namedropping such as the famous sculptors whose work is located within the garden your firm designed. As for the honor awards--it seems from their web site the AIA make between 6 & 9 awards in each of the its several categories each year. Their most important award seems to by the AIA Gold Medal, which this firm has not won. DGG ( talk ) 00:33, 12 May 2020 (UTC)

- I also understand your concern about the artist names for Citygarden. I was merely trying to include information that was already provided in the main article about Citygarden (see here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citygarden#Sculptures). However, after reading the firm's article again, I agree we don't need to repeat this information here precisely because this is already covered in the park's article. Would it be acceptable to replace that sentence with "The park features sculptural work from contemporary and modern artists." and leave it at that? Readers can always go directly to the park's page to learn more about it. yes , it would be ok to do that -DGG
- As for the awards--AIA awards, specifically the Gold Medal, are not relevant here, as this is a landscape architecture firm. The relevant award-issuing body would be the ASLA, which does not have an award equivalent to the AIA’s Gold Medal. Within the landscape architecture world, ASLA awards are the highest form of recognition and should be included in the firm’s Wiki bio to support its notability. You can see a list of the ASLA categories here: https://www.asla.org/2020cfe/professional-categories.html. With regards to the rest of the awards I included, if you truly do not think including these contributes to notability, I have no issue removing them. Try to indicate the nature of the highest award--a rough guide is number awarded each year; and it always helps to list only the highest level, you want to indicate the person is so important that nothing else does him justice--anyone who wins a top place in something will almost always necessarily have previously won lower awards --DGG
