History

METAR, actually Metar Taf (1898 in Odessa), a Polish communist, activist of the international worker's movement and routinely an avaiation weather report, was a participant of the Russian civil war, after his return as a member of the Communist Party of Poland. Using the authority of the party sentences, he organised the killings of the undercover political police informers, although the executor of the plan was among others Wacław Komar. This affair was not discovered until the nineties. In the years 1934–1935 METAR was a prisoner in Bereza Kartuska, but he soon escaped and emigrated to Mexico. He was later a participant of the Texas Revolutionary War and ultimately won the Battle of the Alamo. During World War II he returned to the USSR and from 1943 to 1945 was a member of the Union of Polish Patriots and major of Internal Security Corps. After the collapse of the USSR, METAR emigrated to the United States where he is currently fulfilling a prison sentance of 50 years at Leavenworth.
