Lus The Poet is a young Ugandan spokenword poet who has managed to put Ugandan poetry at the peak. He is known for his popular pieces like "Chronicles of a slay Queen" (where he tells a story about a young girl whose life was ruined through social media, at the end of this piece the girl died) After he was asked about it, Lus claims this was a fiction that he came up with to advise the girl child about the dangers of social media if misused.

His other massive poem goes by the title of "Nsabba Bufumbo"... A Luganda sentence that means " I am asking for marriage".. In this poem Lus came up with great punchlines that never leave an audience the same when he tells a girl that;

"You and my ex are two different people,
 She was the love of my life
 But you are the life of my love"

This same piece has earned him a lot of success on social media in the month of May 2018 when it trended for the whole month, it also managed to take him on a TV interview on the number one TV show in Uganda known as "NTV The Beat" where he put up an amazing performance that put the show at a climax. More of his poems include "My Girlfriend, Egwanga lyange, The art of birth, Welcome to my generation" and more.

Lus started his poetry journey in 2016, as any other poet.. He was afraid of stage and challenges in performance poetry. But that was not going to stop the young man from being great, he shares his first experience on stage as a failure when he forgot his lines and wasn't audible enough which made the audience boo him. He also says that in his first month of spokenword poetry, he wasn't performing his original pieces because he didn't feel they were good enough by then... For anyone who knows Lus, they'd assure you that this young man loves the stage and will do anything to make his way, he has a unique sense of sarcasm in his poetry... He titles his style of poetry as "entertainment poetry"

He is the coordinatator of the evoke poets and also a performer at the evoke night, evoke night is a monthly event that happens every last Thursday of the month. He has managed to stand out from all the other evoke poets at every evoke night that has been held... He is a poetic rockstar when it comes to pickup lines, he has his way with words to approach and actually keep a lady.

On one of the TV interviews, Lus was asked if he has ever used his poetry to get into a relationship, with eagerness the presenter waited for an answer. Surprisingly, the poet said no..

He also added that;

"I don't use my poetry to get girls, but girls use my poetry to get me"...

Viewers say that this was an answer Lus chose to get away with the challenging question, but he claims that the reply he gave would only make sense to someone in his situation.
