Kimberly Ann Smith was born August 2, 1957 in Woodbury, NJ & currently resides in Richmond VA, although she has previously called New York City & Boston her home.

She lives with her domestic partner & two dogs, Max, an 11 year old English Bull Terrier & Wallace (a sturdy English name!), an 8 year old cockapoo.

She is semi-retired, a former Certified Dental Assistant of 37 years.

A life long musician who plays guitar & bass, a smattering of flute, mandolyn, banjo, and anything else she can make a musical noise with.

She can be heard playing mandolyn on her only professional recordings for her sister Patti Smith on 2 of her albums, Gone Again "Ravens" & Gung Ho "Libbies Song".

She is a very avid fan of movies made in the 1920s. 30s, & 40s. TCM is always on her television. She likes to think of herself as a novice (very) early film historian - with a lot to learn - but eagerly. Her favorite genre is Film Noir.

Her parents are:

Father: Grant H. Smith, Mother: Beverly Ann Smith née Williams.

Siblings: Patricia Lee Smith - (coincidently her husband's last name was Smith also - Fred 'Sonic' Smith, formerly of the 1960's rock band The MC5), Linda Marguerite, & Todd Pollard. Kimberly is the youngest of the four siblings.
