In the past I've made some modest contributions to Wikipedia, mostly around the John Rawls and Theory of Justice pages. I firmly believe in the value of Wikipedia as a great place to start (but not finish) research on pretty much any topic. The pages on mathematics and the sciences impress me the most. My research interests are primarily in political philosophy (theories of justice, deliberative democracy, John Rawls and liberalism, evolutionary game theory), political science (federalism, global governance, urban issues, statistics), and epistemology (bayesian decision theory). I have broader interests in ethics, mathematics and logic, evolutionary theory, economic theory, open water swimming, marathon swimming, rock climbing and mountaineering, literature, folk music, ambient electronica, early music and baroque flute. I am an associate professor of political science at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Canada, and hold a doctorate from M.I.T. in political science.[1] My earlier studies were in political science and philosophy at the University of Toronto. In August 2016 I became the 62nd person to successfully swim the Marilyn Bell route across Lake Ontario.[2]
