1980 presidential debate

"Are you better off today than you were four years ago?" was a political slogan used frequently by former Governor Ronald Reagan during the 1980 presidential campaign. The phrase is derived from and is similiar to a line from a 1934 Franklin D. Roosevelt fireside chat.[1]
