Per this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Username_policy#Changing_your_username I am going to be migrating my content to a new user Kanyimbe since I'm no longer using Lingamish as an online persona.

See User:Kanyimbe for my current work.

Intro edit

My primary reason for jumping into Wikipedia at this stage is that I've been looking at ways to make data and publications for Mozambican languages more accessible. I'm very interested in Ethnologue and have created a prototype of a "social Ethnologue," called Ethnolinks. My puzzler has been how to allow user contributions across 7,000 language entries without it descending into chaos. One possibility is to push traffic to the appropriate page on Wikipedia and allow speakers to negotiate links and information here.

Please be nice to me. I'm a newbie.

IRL edit

I am David Ker, an SIL linguist working in Mozambique. See my Google Profile for links to all the stuff I'm doing online.
