License tagging for Image:Sit Times No.jpg

Hi Harrypotter. WP:WSS has so far tried to avoid ethnicity-based stub templates and I feel that such a categorization is a step in the wrong direction, but that is my take on it. However, the reason I'm writing this post is that your project seems to consistently hardcode stub categories into articles. Please stop doing this, it makes our stub sorting work impossible. Instead, add the relevant stub template to the article(s). The templates are designed to sort articles into the associated stub categories automatically, but please don't add the actual stub category (e.g. [[Category:Writer stubs]] ) into the articles. Thanks, glad you like it! No, I don't recall that they do mention if Schaw went to Uraniborg, it was really only mentioned in relation to Edzell, but Schaw is certainly discussed elsewhere. I don't have the book to hand, Its in my local library - next time I go I shall check. As you have noticed, its up for GA review, I'd be really grateful if you could improve it any more, or at least keep an eye on the page in case you can address any comments that come up with regard to Rosicrucianism etc, as that side of things is a bit outside my scope of knowledge. Your references to EEV and Feranti are a bit UK-centric. There were also several U.S. companies producing TWTs in the sixties (Hughes, RCA, Westinghouse, Watkins-Johnson, among others). I was reading the discussion page for the LARC article where you mentioned that some geezer was proposing the Cowley Club article for deletion. I've only just found out about the said club. You may be interested to read my comments and speculation about Harry Cowley and his vigilantes on this blog (as 'ban'). Fighting Mosleyite fascists doesn't necessarily put someone in a different category from say the 43 Group who were funded by East End gangster Jack Spot. What was actually going on with rental and squatted properties, and the fruit and vegetables market too, in Brighton after WW2? 'Error' in registration of title regarding 62 Fieldgate Street at the Land Registry

Research at the Land Registry and Companies House has shown the owner of 62 Fieldgate Street (with no charges on its title, so the asset is not mortgaged) to be Fieldgate Action Resource Centre Limited, company number 3836799, a company incorporated on 3 September 1999 which changed its name to London Action Resource Centre Limited on 5 February 2004. Curiously the number of that company as registered at Companies House is 3836099. Never mind the presence or absence of an initial 0 in the number, which relates only to the fact that Companies House uses an 8-digit number in the anticipation that all 8 will be needed some day. There seems to have been an error in the recording of the company's number when the title to the property at 62 Fieldgate was registered. There is no currently active company with the number 3836799... Explanation anyone?

Actually the foot is on the other boot. The Eurocentrists took the text wholesale from the old wikipedia Precarity page and pasted it on their Eurocentric site. Hi Richard, I won't say thanks for your input, because that would be fake, as is the basic message of Wikipedia. As for remembering, memory doesn't come into anything here. I don't like this right-wing 'people's Establishment' (obviously fanatically brown-tonguing the real 'Establishment') ideological-lie-pushing despotic business enterprise called 'Wikipedia' one bit. Ars Memorativa and 'Masonry' of the 'speculative' variety

Hi, I'm going to be doing some further work on the Art of memory article when I get through with a reorganization of the still-dangling Method of loci article. When I get to the 'Art of memory' additions I would like to add a section on the relationship between speculative masonry and the art of memory. While I do have (I think) a clear grasp of what is going on with genuine speculative masonry (as a result of my extended study of the art of memory), I don't have access to solid citations from works about Masonry that point out the relationships in a relatively unambiguous way (the nature of the subject being what it is...). You appear to have a stronger background in things 'masonic' as well as an interest in memory natural and artificial. I wonder if you might be willing to help, or at least point me to some quality publications I can mine for citations? Thanks for pointing me to Stevenson. Looks like he's a proper Yates fan. I'm surprised I missed his work, yet gratified he shares some of my conclusions. I had long suspected Dickson as a vector, but Stevenson seems to have connected the dots in a solid, verifiable way. By 'cross searching' Stevenson I found good material in works by Marsha Keith Schuchard and Vaughan Hart as well. I should be able to throw together something viable.

As for the 'lay' of the land I assume you are playing on the meaning of 'lay' as song? I doubt you'll find much that's explicit regarding 'Celtic' ars memorativa (if, indeed, anything at all), and the phrase, as you doubtless know, is attested with 'lay' as position, direction or state of the land. But I think I follow your metaphorical twist. You'll probably have luck approaching the subject indirectly through research on ritual procession, pilgrimage and pilgrims' songs. Pilgrimage routes with set rituals (involving recitation or singing) occurring at fixed points will probably be your best point of ingress. Since Latin literature on the ancient Celts is not extensive, If you are looking for possible attestations of Celtic practices of this sort you might do better to look at the ancient eastern fringe of the Celtic world (Galata, Galatians, Asia Minor, etc.) where cultural vestiges (however faint) might have been preserved in Greek or later Byzantine texts. Bakunin a government agent?

Hi mate,

I saw your postings over at the Bakunin talk page and was just wondering, what evidence do you have for suggesting Bakunin was in fact in the pay of the French (Russian?) governments? Please note that I'm not intending this as a sort of aggressive question, despite having Bakuninist sympathies I'm genuinely interested in the issue and not looking for an argument. Apologies if you've included it somewhere in your writings already, as I didn't read the entire talk page.

Hi, I'm not quite sure about the confusion between the French and Russian governments here, bearing in mind that the French government referred to here is that of Louis Blanc and other socialists who had come to power in the February Revolution. James G. Chastain discusses this in 'Bakunin as a French Secret Agent in 1848' in History Today. Billingsley suggests, somewhat ironically, that the French government paid him to go away. (see Bakunin, Yokohama, and the Dawning of the Pacific Era. I think it is quite clear that in 1848 Bakunin got backing from French revolutionaries to spread the revolution. As for Marx's suggestion he was a Russian agent, I think that has been generally dismissed. However, while in Siberia he did have a state sinecure from his cousin Nikolay Muravyov-Amursky, then the governor - but whether that makes him a government agent I'm not sure. Muravyov was a liberal and Bakunin was linked with plans to break away from the Russian empire and joining or copying the USA (Kroptkin came across traces of this years later). Myself I feel that Bakunin was a more effective revolutionary before he got bogged down with anarchism and all the ideological baggage that went with that. Kalmykia

Hi.

I was out of the loop for QUITE some time, and I don't even remember the details of the discussion, off-hand, but when I said "outlaws" yes it was, to my knowledge a bit toward the end of the campaign ... but in regards to that I think, even from the get-go, they described us as outlaws that could be "used to their benefit" meaning we had no real place as far as they were concerned.

Anecdotally, and this is from people with second-hand information, themselves (as my father was 5 when he got to the country in 1952), the soviet campaign of genocide against the kalmyks was much worse than history describes. ... then again, when telling a story, you can exaggerate ... but my dad said it was closer to 80% of the Kalmyk population that perished. ... I like how he told it, too ... "they could haul us into cattle cars, but they could never make us weep." They just didn't believe in that. They were a strong, stoic people (I'm a sentimental sop, I guess I get that from my mom).

What are you going to do, now, eh? Every Kalmyk who can is escaping Kalmykia, the younger ones especially ... and they have sponsers in the US because of the Kalmyk community, here. It thus seems reasonable to question whether the article refers to a real organisation. As for the article on psychogeography, it has been tagged for being like an essay and may contain weasel words. None of them are really notable in themselves, either than to being post and most of them lack information to become FAs, or even GAs... Thanks for your response. The church is a Grade I listed building - which is considered inherently notable by WP:HSITES etc (& have enough sources available to demonstrate notability) & I created it when changing all the red links to blue at Grade I listed buildings in South Somerset which itself is part of the wider Grade I listed buildings in Somerset which is mirrored (although less developed) for each of the counties of England. Some of the articles created as part of those hundreds of stubs created have been picked up and developed by others - often with local knowledge and interest. I also noticed the spelling variation when I contacted you - but the GI listed buildings use the titles at Images of England which are drawn from the English Heritage National Monuments Record.— Rod ^talk 13:17, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

Hi there - when I left the message above, this was an article in the mainspace, and I felt it didn't belong there as it didn't seem to comply with our notability requirements.
