Evan William Stair(born June 1, 1986) is a documentary filmmaker and motivational public speaker. His full-length documentary The Unheard: A Homeless Story became a viral sensation and an award winning production. Evan was born in Watertown, Connecticut in 1986. In 1989 his family relocated to West Virginia. His humble upbringing in West Virginia vastly contributed to the subject matter of his documentary work and speaking work today. His exposure to poverty, drug addiction, and violence motivated him to create positive works and speak to the youth about the power of making good decisions. In April of 2012 Evan took to the streets of West Virginia with a small production crew to conduct personal, intimate interviews with the homeless in the documentary The Unheard: A Homeless Story. The goal of the documentary was to expose viewers to a real, humanistic-side of the homeless in an effort to bridge the gap between classes. The documentary gained a viral following on Youtube in 2013, and received independent film festival recognition. In May 2015 the film took first place in the West Virginia Independent Film Committee’s annual festival. The Super Awesome series(2015-present) is an ongoing inspirational docuseries. Evan started the series after being inspired by a friend whose life was taken from breast cancer. Her positive attitude and firm belief that one person could create changes in the world drove Evan to live on her spirit through the series. To this day the series has interviewed inspirational people from West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and North Carolina.
