My name is Rob Ward. I am a writer, translator, and educator. I was born in the British Black Country to Irish parents and live in Prague in the Czech Republic. I have been an Irish citizen from 2016. I have worked as a support worker, a chef, an educator, a school librarian, and a translator. Currently, I teach English and Czech for Foreigners at Charles University.
My edits here will often be minor corrections and additions to pages relating to the history, literary, and culture of the Czech Republic. I would like to work towards translating articles from Czech into English where they do not yet exist. At present, Czech cultural and historical references are often impossible to find online and this can make Czech writing and film difficult to penetrate.
