1999 DP8 is a Trans-Neptunian object having a perihelion of approximately 200 AU and a Heliocentric Aphelion of an estimated 5,500,000 AU from the Sun, which means that it has a high eccentricity approaching '1'. Its orbit carries it from the Outer Kuiper Belt in the region known as the Extended Scattered Disk to the Inner Oort Cloud.
