Cancer /ˈkænsər/ , is a broad group of more than 200 diseases that affect humans.[1]. Cells in our body grow and divide throughout our life. This is controlled by a 'stop signal'. When something goes wrong with this stop signal, cells start to grow and divide grow uncontrollably. This causes the growth of tumors. Some of these tumours are benign, and form harmless growths. Cancer happens when a tumor is malignant. Other tumors are forming malignant tumors, and invade nearby parts of the body. The cancer may also spread to more distant parts of the body through the lymphatic system or bloodstream. Not all tumors are cancerous. do not grow uncontrollably, do not invade neighboring tissues, and do not spread throughout the body. There are over 200 different known cancers that afflict humans
