Kilgobinet GAA club, Cill Ghobnait Cumann Lúthchleas Gael is a GAA club in West Waterford approximately 3 miles outside Dungarvan.The club comprises of the parish of Kilgobinet and surrounding areas. It is affiliated to the Western GAA board in County Waterford.

Kilgobinet G.A.A. Club was formed on 12 February 1887, and have their players have always worn those distinctive green jerseys with a white "V" on the front. The Club's first Championship success did not arrive until 1931, when they captured the Western Junior Football title by defeating Cappoquin at the Fraher Field. Cappoquin lodged an objection, which was upheld with a re fixture being ordered which took place on 18 October 1931 with Kilgobinet making history on a scoreline of 3-5 to 1-1. Kilgobinet's team and supporters travelled by train to Waterford for the County Final against city side, O'Rourkes (no longer in existence) who won on a scoreline of 1-2 to 0-3.

Fifteen years later in 1946, Kilgobinet again defeated Cappoquin in the Western Final only to lose out to Newtown in the County Final played at Scrahan in Kilmacthomas by 2-4 to 0-0. Incidentally, in 1946 Monnie Maguire featured, who later with his brother Dick, were key figures for some Kilrossanty senior teams.

In 1961, Kilgobinet Junior Hurlers captured the Western title defeating Colligan and went on to overcome Ballygunner in the County Final at Walsh Park by 3-6 to 1-08 to win the Club's first ever County title.

In 1986, Kilgobinet Junior Hurlers defeated Clashmore/Kinsalebeg in the Western Final and one week later they captured their second County title in this grade as they bridged a gap of 25 years with XV trained/coached by Peter Power.

In 1987, Kilgobinet won the Western Junior Football title, but again. they lost out in the County Final on this occasion to Clonea by 0-9 to 0-5.

However better times duly arrived in football when in 2002 Kilgobinet defeated Old Parish in the Western Final. They then won the County title defeating St. Mollerans by 0-11 to 0-9, trained by David Kiely at Walsh Park. Their Junior "B" Footballers were crowned Western Champions in 2001/2002.

In 2003, Kilgobinet won out in the West in Junior Hurling and went on to capture their third County JHC title by overcoming Tramore at Walsh Park by 0-12 to 1-06, trained by Noel Costello.

Kilgobinet purchased their own pitch at Inchindrishla in 1979 and it came to be their home until 1999. Then they purchased land at Bohadoon and they developed a new pitch complete with a Sports Centre which was officially opened in May 2007.
