Evans Ellis Evonlah aka Kanticles is a film director, an IT technician and a proud Teacher. Many call him Sir for his many years of teaching and experience in the impartation of knowledge.
His younger brother stage name - Ighteous livity is also a Gospel Dancehall rising star affiliated to BiblesUpthe movement and Counter attack Music. Talent indeed runs in the family!
Ellis' quiet temperament and demeanor must not be misinterpreted to mean cowardice. He's down to earth, sociable and a critical thinker.
His passion for acting was aroused at the tender age of 9 years where he played major roles in church drama.
He continued his journey in acting at the secondary school level at Sekondi-College. Where he was renowned for his unique style of acting.
In 2009 Ellis furthered his studies at the University of Johannesburg where he obtained an enviable masters degree in computer science. He then continued at Orgasmed Institute where he persued a directing course where he earned a diploma and the pedigree of professional director in 2014.
While in South Africa he was the Assistant director at Ice Cube Production where he co-directed a number of classic movies which includes - All black, Limpopo Girls , The smart , My Neighbour etc.
In 2016 Ellis returned to Ghana. His first directed movie - The Message won him an award as the best director in the Western Region of Ghana in 2017 At the Westwood Awards.
Ellis has since then established his own film and movie production house - Highveld Production. This production House also won an award in 2017 for producing Pasco Series a sitcom.
Currently Mr. Evonlah has also directed a thrilling movie on a real life story titled Thorns of Life. There is much more up his sleeves and he promises to lighten up the movie industry with his dynamism and unique directing skills.
