Hello, I'm KJS ml343x.
I have a wide range of interests, mostly historical. Including Ancient Near Eastern and Middle Eastern History, Early Roman History, Punic and Phoenician History, the history of the Crusades, late Merovingian Frankish history. I am especially fascinated by the history of the early Islamic Caliphates, and the Idrisid and Banu Salih Emirates in Morocco. I am also intensely interested in the Normanist vs. anti-Normanist controversy in Russian history. I am also quite fascinated by the history of the coffee and sugar trade.
I'm fascinated by languages, particularly Semitic languages, and in particular Classical Arabic, Maghrebi darija dialects of Arabic, and Biblical Hebrew.
I enjoy poetry, particularly the early Modernist circle, and later formalists like Geoffrey Hill and Seamus Heaney.
Prior to this account I edited on occasion using a previous account whose login I totally forgot, and also edited now and then logged out. I look forward to contributing more to the Wikipedia community !
