Scenographic cake (also knowed by Fake cake) is a inedible cake from cardboard, polystyrene,[1] can be coated from cardstock, EVA and other materials.[1]
The scenographic cake can also have several toppings:
- Royal icing;
- American paste;
- Tissue;
- Biscuit.
- Others.[2]

The scenographic cake has been created close to 2000's, for several reasons. At that time it was difficult to 'build' cakes of 3 floors or more, because the tools that exist today did not exist..[3]
