I'm Jonathan Parshall. With respect to Wikipedia, I'm primarily interested in WWII military history. I'm the co-author (with Anthony Tully) of a book on the Battle of Midway, entitled "Shattered Sword: The Untold Story of the Battle of Midway." I have published articles on WWII naval history in the U.S. Naval War College Review, World War II magazine, Naval Institute Proceedings, Naval History magazine, Mains'l Haul, and others. I am an adjunct lecturer for the U.S. Naval War College, and have given lectures for them in Newport, RI; Annapolis, MD; and Washington DC. I have also been honored as the Naval War College's keynote speaker for their annual Battle of Midway commemoration event in both 2007 and 2010. I have also spoken at numerous other public venues on the Battle of Midway, including the National World War II Museum in New Orleans. I've been a historical consultant ("talking head") on both The Discovery Channel and The History Channel, and have reviewed television screenplays on Midway for the BBC and others. I'm also the owner of the long-standing Japanese Navy Homepage at www.combinedfleet.com. My day job is Chief Operating Officer of www.codeweavers.com. I'm married with two children, and live in Minneapolis, MN.
