Dr. John Andrew Phillips, PhD, born 11 August 1964, son of Granville and Pauline Phillips. [1] [2] dedicated most of his life to the health and care of people around the world.

Passionate about life care and sharing his knowledge and skills he taught people how to save the life of others and over his career he saved many lives himself whilst working in disaster zones world wide.

Nothing was more important to John than to save peoples lives and to teach people how they too could save the lives of others whilst protecting one another from harm and he did this with seemingly endless energy and with relentless conviction in war torn and natural disaster zones world wide over 2 decades.

John worked with our domestic and international security services, RAF, Navy and Infantry services and via the UK's International voluntary sector organisations, Red Cross International and OXFAM. He worked as a teacher, a qualified and trained clinician and as a volunteer.

He worked in many African countries, communities and villages during times of mass devastation and loss of life due to malnutrition, drought, governmental suppression of its people and due to a basic lack of medical expertise and medicines.

John also worked in countries that had sercombe to natural disasters, hurricanes, earthquakes etc. and where again he worked with teams of rescuers who helped to rebuild communities, again in the capacity of a medic.

In the UK, he owned and run 2 medical training practises and he founded National Health Life Support. NHLS was designed to protect and support the UK's NHS. Protect the NHS from privatisation which would see the end of a free health care service for the public of the UK. As said, nothing was more important to him than to the preservation of life and the protection of people.

Today, he still teaches and he offers his services free of charge to many voluntary sector organisations even though now he himself has terminal cancer of which he fights to see his survival as in his own words.

" I have far to much work still left to do"

We wish him well and a speedy recovery as we know of John's passion and of his knowledge and skills as a teacher are second to none and there is much evidence of his work both world wide and in the UK and many stories told by those he has taught of how, because of John, they themselves have saved the lives of others. That of which they lay testimony, to say that without the knowledge and skills that John gave to them, they would never have been able to save the life of their loved ones, family and friends and even strangers.
