JOE MARCELINO

Known as "The Father of Down South Latin Hip-Hop", is originally From San Juan, Puerto Rico, but was raised in Louisiana most of his life. Recognized for his Down South Latino influence and his youth out reach. Growing up, Marcelino was aspiring basketball talent winning 3 AAU Championship titles and receiving several high school awards. Marclino also played one season over seas, but decided to return and finish his college education.

In 1997, Marcelino was discovered by a local Baton Rouge Independent label "Assault & Battery Records", which birthed the beginning of his professional musical career. Although no songs were ever officially recorded with the local Baton Rouge record label, it did give rise to his very own entertainment and record company in September 1998 - JAM TIGHT ENTERTAINMENT,INC.

Growing up in the church, his love for God and musical inspiration has touched many. In 2004, Marcelino received a Gospel Hip Hop Arward for Best Latin Artist for his song Christian Champion.

In 2006, Marcelino re-released the Restitution of Righteousness, his first solo gospel hip-hop album. the entire project was dedicated to God and to his 18 family members and friends that passed away as a result of Hurricane Katrina.
