His father is a well known architect in Taiwan. He was educated in the states and decided to follow his father's example and studied architecture at university. After an architecture competition completed by his father for a passenger ferry terminal for Kinmen, he adopts the island and its political context as his site. His thesis project is a bath house located on Liangong Islet off the coast of Kinmen. With the changing tides, the baths flood with seawater.
