This is the premier Cornhole tournement In Northern California. Founders, Mark and Marybeth Towery, have graciously hosted this unsanctioned event since 2012. Starting as a backyard game, and using unofficial equipment, the tourney has grown to over 100 participants and includes athletes and celebrities from all walks of life. Past winners include UCLA cheerleader Ann Blunden-Huchingson, Cal QB Kevin Brown...motivated by his more athletic better half “The, D Brown”, and up in comers Tim and Renee Sweeney, who founded the “ Sweeney Swing”.. a move that won them them the 2015 title. The 2016 title, won by the founders, is still shrouded in controversy, as foul step across the line is yet still under review.
They tourney continues as an underground rave, with invitations to the Most serious teams from around the globe. There are talks that the “TCIV”, will become a stop on the official tour. However, with the likes of Kev and Molly “ hole in one” Guthrie, Dave and Kristin “ School of Cornhole”Gannon, and The Berkowitz team... it’s unlikely tourney pros will approve of this as an official stop.
