Jim Courtney brings over 30 years’ successful experience in strategic planning, general management of high technology business units and management of the sales/business development and marketing of high technology products and services. His recent consulting focus was on commercialization of technologies.

Since 2006 Jim has been reporting on developments with Skype, smartphones and IP-based communications through over 850 posts on Skype Journal and Voice On The Web. He has attended several related conferences and participated, from time-to-time, in projects involving third parties in the Skype ecosystem. Most importantly, over time, has been observation of the rapid changes not only in communications technology but also the impact of these changes on communications processes and the associated business models.

Beyond the experience described here he may edit Wikipedia posts covering his involvement with a rental vacation condo near Mont Tremblant and his time as a student at the University of Toronto.
