Jerel Tremain Woods (J Real), born February 17, 1984 in Detroit, Michigan to Jeffery & Sherry Woods. Jerel grew up with an appreciation for art, music, and loved to draw. Jerel started taking Saxophone lessons in 5th grade at McKenny Elementary School, and stayed a member of the band, as well as Jazz band in middle school, and marching bands all through high school. Jerel moved in with his Grandmother, Mary Woods, in Southfield, Michigan in 1996 to attend Thompson Middle School in an attempt to deter his life from the path it was headed from the teachings of the rough/urban Detroit streets. Jerel was into computers & technology, so while attending Southfield-Lathrup High School, he took up computer animation to merge with his passion in art & drawing. Jerel was very smart, but did not apply himself properly. Being a product of his environment, Jerel encountered his share of trouble during high school; Being expelled & sent back to live with his parents in Detroit, he attend Henry Ford High School where he was later expelled also. Jerel’s other love for cars prompted him to attended Baker College of Flint, MI for Automotive technology after graduating from Thomas M. Cooley High School in 2002. Jerel’s passion for art & technology led him to Wayne County Community College for Graphic/Web Design & Business Management in 2010. Jerel then started his own graphic design business (Real Designz) which was later rebranded to TWG Design (The Woods Group) and still operates today. Although attending college, these years were hard for Jerel legally due to the fact that he had acquired a few problems with law enforcement. After multiple short jail terms, Jerel made the decision to turn his life around. In 2014, Jerel joined a motorcycle club, and has since traveled with them to multiple states for various rides & events. Jerel married Marsyia Woods in 2015, and has two daughters: Lyndzie Person (Step-Daughter 2005) and Jernie Woods (2015). Over the years Jerel has also developed another passion in Real Estate, so in 2016 he attended Allied Business School after relocating to San Diego, CA while in search of the perfect home for his family. Jerel is currently a Real Estate Proffessional licensed by the State of California, and also a member of NAR (National Association of REALTORS), as well as CAR (California Association of REALTORS) & PSAR (Pacific Southwest Association of REALTORS).
