InGenX is my username in Wikipedia. I currently live in Manila. I was born in 1992 in the United States. I'm currently student of a well known private school in Manila.

Why InGenX? edit

Some of you might be curious why my user name is InGenX. Well, when I was young, the 1st movie that I saw and liked was Jurassic Park. So I decided, when I was choosing my username in Wikipedia, to show give a sort of tribute to that box office hit Steven Spielberg had directed. And the username InGenX was created.

Why I registered in Wikipedia edit

Internet back in 1997 was of course a bit different from today's version of the Internet. That was the time when I was 1st introduced to a computer. But it was'nt until 2003 that I knew how to use the Internet, to be honest. The reason: I didn't have a computer back then. But with a computer of my own, I learned on how to use the Internet. The 1st time I've set foot in Wikipedia was when I was doing a research work for my Information Technology subject. After that, one of my dreams came true: here's an encyclopedia which doesn't charge people just to see articles. But at that time, I did'nt noticed that Wikipedia articles can be edited by anyone. So I just kept on browsing in Wikipedia, reading of course some of the articles here.

But anyway, lets get back to the question on why I registered in Wikipedia. At the time, I was playing the gold edition of GameSpy's P.C. game of the year: Empire Earth. I went to Wikipedia to look for information on the game. I found the information on Empire Earth. But I noticed that there was no article for the expansion, Empire Earth: The Art of Conquest. So I decided to be the guy to make that article, for the sake of Empire Earth fans. So I registered in Wikipedia. So the answer to the question "Why you registered in Wikipedia?". Well, lets just simply say, "...originally for the sake of Empire Earth fans".

Likes and Dislikes edit

Everyone has his or her likes and dislikes. Here are some of mine. These can give you hints on what articles I visit or edit often.

Likes edit

God, Discovery Channel, National Geographic, World History, Unsolved History, Family, Friends, all the people that love me, RTS games (in particular games like: Rise of Nations and others), TBS games (particularly computer versions of TBS such as: Sid Meier's Civilization IV, simulation games (such as Microsoft Flight Simulator, giving the corect information to others in Wikipedia on a certain thing, good articles in Wikipedia, honest folks, ideas on religion, writing, watching Television, 3D tours of a certain place, some of the things for the rich, people who praise me, doing an act of kindness, comedy, good movies, geting high grades on subejcts I know best, downloading a file related to the games which I own, chatting with friends, people who forgive me or when I forgive them and many others.

Dislikes edit

Satan, my annoying cousin, people who hate me just because of a simple act I did, people who were my friends but currently hate me (traitors), people who are tyranical, high school and college mathematics, being forced to cheat during a game or test, people who tell me to do bad things, people who delete things that I posted in Wikipedia that are correct (such as the launch of the Mac version of Civilization IV in May 2006) and don't even rephrase them, "useless school subjects" (e.g. I want to be a historian, but I'm forced to study metalworking just to pass a grade or year level), people who diconnect my Internet connection while I'm using the Internet without me knowing, movies and games which people told were good but I found out that they were bad, my best friend not noticing me, the end of a good game series (such as Sid Meier's Civilization, which is almost unthinkable to Civ Fanatics like me), negative game reviews on games which I say I good (such as the GameSpot reviews on the Empire Earth expansions which are so negative on those expansions), my stupid English teacher, people who get angry so eaisly, people who want me to be perfect, those d@&$^! people who're responsible for Global Warming, game crashes, blackouts occuring while I'm playing a computer game, people who get the last copy of something which I want and many others.

A very important note on my editing methods edit

Well this section is about a little info concerning my editing. Well some may have noticed, in the history section of some pages, that I would be editing and submiting pages on the same day multiple times. The reason for this simple:

"I'm just a newbie when it comes to editing."

Another is that sometimes there would be opinions on pages which I've recently edited. If I'm the one who made that opinion, there is a reason for this and that's the italized words above. So if you guys are saying things like "...why is that user keep on writing opinions?", don't get angry or don't immmidently report me to anyone for vandalism: I still have a lot to learn and remember I've to focus on my studies as well for now.

Other Information edit

More details on my profile can be added , by me of course, anytime - sooner or later. The templates will give you more information for now.

Using templates

Templates are a type of page that contain boilerplate text that is intended to be displayed on more than one page in Wikipedia.

This Tip of the day box is an example of a template (there are several versions actually), and besides being displayed here it is displayed on many userpages as well.

Template names start with the prefix "Template:" followed by the page name. The main version of the template you are reading right now is called "Template:totd".

To display a template on a page, go to the target page, click "edit", and add the template's name (with or without the prefix) surrounded by double curly brackets to the page's source text. (The text you see in the edit box when you click edit this page is called "source text", because it is a lot like programming code, which is called "source code").

Including a template on a page in this way is called "transclusion". Here's an example:

To include the Template:Philosophy topics, type this at the end of the philosophy article you wish to place it on::

{{Philosophy topics}}
