Olivia Dekker references I'm having trouble with the references on Olivia Dekker page I'm creating. I thinking doing it right but it's not coming out the way it should. Cordwood construction is an English term synonomous with cordwood masonry, stackwall building, etc. The owner of cordwoodconstruction.org is gaining an unfair market advantage by controlling the Wiki listing with this term rather than others, because they have trademarked "cordwood construction". In other words, by listing cordwoodconstruction.org along with the Wiki result, Wiki is being leveraged to pedal one particular author / educator over others, giving them an unfair market advantage, especially considering that the growing popular siri and other home voice-activated assistants all use Wiki for their source of information. Can you tell me how to level this unfair entry / definition name? Full disclosure - I am working on behalf of an author who also sells books and courses on how to do cordwood building, and I would like them to be playing on a level field which is what I understand Wiki to be. While I am not aware of your In Arabic the letter sheen (the first letter) is a sun letter which means that words written in arabi with the article "al" are pronounced without the "l." Thus Madinat Asha'ab is not pronounced Al Shaab. While not only technically correct, the name is written as Asha'ab in a number of sources including google maps. Had you added sources then my knowledge about Bhorta would have increased. You created a sourceless article that I draftified per WP:DRAFTIFY and WP:V. I left a message at your talk page too explaining policies and guidelines. The article Baingan bharta is well sourced to stay on main page. What else do you want to know? I suggest you to create the article through AFC process. Here you can create your draft and submit it for review. A reviewer will review the content and suggest you for improvement, if required, otherwise they will accept the draft and move it to mainspace. It will help you to create an article fit for mainspace as well as it will help you to avoid annoying deletion and removal notification. Also see WP:CCS, the article must have credible claim of significance which was missing from your first article. That is why it was tagged for A7 deletion. Secondly, the tone of the article was promoting the subject without imparting encyclopedic information, so it fell under G11 criteria of speedy deletion too. Let me know, if you want more help. The organization has a long history and does extensive field work, but a lot of this work is in poor and rural areas, so it's not covered by traditional online secondary sources. I included the most reputable sources available, including PBS News Hour, but the basics of the organization's history are mainly recorded on their website, so it's hard to find secondary sources for this info. Pages for larger NGOs include similar citations. I understand the care that goes into Wikipedia's editorial practices, but it seems there may be an inherent bias against grassroots organizations. The Wikiadmins who wrote on my talk page before had told me I needed to add more things like categories and public domain notices so they don't mistaken it as speedy deletion. Some had deleted my pages after realizing I did nothing wrong and it was too late so I rewritten these articles again. I was new back then and I have learned a lot. I only do politicans/public officials who work in the federal government. In this situation, I made sure I added categories. This will only work if it is selected in your filters. Best is to 'select all'. Do take a moment to check out all the new features if you have not already done so. If anything is not working as it should, please let us know at NPR. There is now also a live queue of AfC submissions in the New Pages Feed. Feel free to review AfCs, but bear in mind that NPP is an official process and policy and is more important. QUALITY of REVIEWING Articles are still not always being checked thoroughly enough. If you are not sure what to do, leave the article for a more experienced reviewer. Please be on the alert for any incongruities in patrolling and help your colleagues where possible; report patrollers and autopatrolled article creators who are ostensibly undeclared paid editors. The displayed ORES alerts offer a greater 'at-a-glance' overview, but the new challenges in detecting unwanted new content and sub-standard reviewing do not necessarily make patrolling any easier, nevertheless the work may have a renewed interest factor of a different kind. A vibrant community of reviewers is always ready to help at NPR. Backlog The backlog is still far too high at between 7,000 and 8,000. Of around 700 user rights holders, 80% of the reviewing is being done by just TWO users. In the light of more and more subtle advertising and undeclared paid editing, New Page Reviewing is becoming more critical than ever. Move to draft NPR is triage, it is not a clean up clinic. This move feature is not limited to bios so you may have to slightly re-edit the text in the template before you save the move. Anything that is not fit for mainspace but which might have some promise can be draftified - particularly very poor English and machine and other low quality translations. Notifying users Remember to use the message feature if you are just tagging an article for maintenance rather than deletion. Otherwise articles are likely to remain perma-tagged. Many creators are SPA and have no intention of returning to Wikipedia. Use the feature too for leaving a friendly note note for the author of a first article you found well made or interesting. Many have told us they find such comments particularly welcoming and encouraging. PERM Admins are now taking advantage of the new time-limited user rights feature. If you have recently been accorded NPR, do check your user rights to see if this affects you. Depending on your user account preferences, you may receive automated notifications of your rights changes. Requests for permissions are not mini-RfAs. Helpful comments are welcome if absolutely necessary, but the bot does a lot of the work and the final decision is reserved for admins who do thorough research anyway.
