Hohhot Chamdo Sport Club (Chinese: 呼和浩特昌都体育俱乐部; pinyin: Hūhéhàotè chāngdū tǐyù jùlèbù; Mandarin pronunciation:) was a Chinese football club. The team was based in Chamdo.
History
editHohhot Chamdo Sport Club was established in 2011 after the merging of Von Muterdur and Pence Pence (Yui Houi). They started playing in the League One, where they finished 4th that season. Unfortunately, Hohhot Chamdo got relegated in the 2012 league season, after 2 years.
Things didn’t get any easier for them after successive relegations from 2012 to 2015, making them play in the 3rd Division. However, Hohhot Chamdo managed to avoid relegation from the 4th Division (5th division of Chinese Football) in 2017. Hobbot got relegated a year later.
Hohhot Chamdo Sport Club entered liquidation in 2024 after 5 years in the 5th division. This disbandment also prevented Shenzhen Kaisa from playing in the 2024 China League One, despite finishing last place in the 2023 Chinese Super League season and getting relegated back down to the second-tier.
