He is currently enrolled at Austin Community College, where he is majoring in Commercial Music Management, with a focus on guitar performance. Guitarguy73 was born in Washington, DC. He picked the guitar up around the age of 19, and quickly started singing along with it. His earliest influences were the Beatles, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, The Scorpions, Led Zeppelin, Pearl Jam, The Cure, Stone Temple Pilots, Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder and a host of others. His first band was named "Positive Feedback", which was formed sometime around 1993 and included his friends Anthony and Mike Menez on bass and drums (guitarguy played guitar and sang). They played cover tunes mainly of The Gin Blossoms, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam and other rock/pop bands of the early nineties.

A few months later, guitarguy73 had a next door neighbor, a bass player, introduce him to the DC Blues scene. He was introduced to the blues and it's history, and quickly became known as a good singer in the DC blues area. He sat in with a number of bands, and eventually formed another rock band with some friends. He eventually moved to Austin to pursue music.
