Following an oblique injury to outfielder Starling Marte, the Pirates promoted Meadows to Pittsburgh on May 17, 2018.[1] At the time, he had been batting .294 with one home run and 15 RBI in 32 International League games that season.[2] Meadows made his major league debut the next day, recording two hits and a stolen base in the Pirates' 3–2 loss to the San Diego Padres.[3]
