Valtrace is a Contact Tracing Platform for the City of Valenzuela ,Metro Manila it's Current role is to replace Paper Forms that increases possible Contact for the Virus.Valtrace uses Qr Code technology to provide Contactless Tracing in the city. People who are going into the city's Establishments should register to the program in order to enter.

2020 edit

Pre introduction (Before November 9) edit

the City Government welcomes the first batch of DILG contact tracers during the special orientation and training held in Valenzuela People's Park on October 20, this will provide for a more efficient contact tracing management as new members of the contact tracing team joins the City’s workforce.the 226 newly-hired contact tracers were trained in proper disease surveillance and contact tracing, handling data privacy and the use of the ValTrace App – Valenzuela’s newest addition to its contact tracing platform utilizing the use of QR codes and location history.[1]

November 9,2020-Annoucement edit

The Government of Valenzuela together with Mayor Rex Gatchalian announced the Upcoming use of the Valtrace Program in the City Effective November 16,2020

laws and Guidelines have also been placed to regulate the system as it follows its Role to Provide Contact Tracing under Ordinance No. 783 (ValTrace Application Ordinance) Under the ordinance, covered establishments must register with the system, scan the QR codes of all their customers and forward their customers’ information to the local government after 24 hours of being offline from the system, among others.

Failure to comply will merit a P5,000, P10,000 or P15,000 fine or a revocation of business permit on the first, second and third offense, respectively.

Any person who will provide false information in the application or let another person use his or her personal QR will also be fined P1,000, P3,000 or P5,000 for the first, second or third offense, respectively.[2]

November 9-15,2020-Registration Period edit

Valtrace is slowly being used in the city and Manual Contact Tracing forms can still be used.

November 16,2020-Full implementation of Valtrace edit

Valtrace has been fully implemented in the City of Valenzuela, Manual Contact tracing forms slowly being removed from establishments in the city.


December 4,2020-Interconnecting with Pasig Pass edit

the City Governments of Pasig and Valenzuela work hand in hand in streamlining solutions to help stop the spread of COVID-19, interconnecting systems and even best practices to ensure contact tracing efforts and local government solutions do not go into waste. Under the agreement, Valenzuela City’s ValTrace App and Pasig City’s PasigPass will be integrated to ensure that both cities will have more effective and more efficient measures to contain the pandemic – that is, by being able to use one’s ValTrace QR code to enter Pasig City’s establishments and vice versa.[1] The Qr codes for both cities Can be used starting December 07,2020.

December 7,2020-Full implementation of a interconnected Pasigpass-Valtrace edit

Both PasigPass and Valtrace can now be used on both cities on Pasig and Valenzuela.

December 11,2020-Digital Governance awards edit

The city of Valenzuela has been awarded with the Digital Governance Awards or DGA 2020 on its Paspas Permit and Valtrace Contact Tracing Platform for its ease of accesibility and acess.


The Digital Governance Awards or DGA 2020 is a joint project of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the National ICT Confederation of the Philippines (NICP). DGA 2020 recognizes local government units for its revolutionary ICT initiatives in the delivery of public services.[3]

2021 edit

January 8,2021-Interconnecting with Antipolo Bantay edit

ValTrace App has been integrated with Antipolo City’s Bantay COVID-19 App – manifesting a continuous expansion through linkages with other local government units toward the same goal of effective contact tracing[4].in the following days Pasig city also signed a Interconnectivity agreement with Antipolo on their Contact Tracing Platform.
