Gareth Williams (Welsh Broadcaster)

Gareth Williams is a freelance broadcaster who was born in Mountain Ash, South Wales on January 5th 1955. He began his career in 1984 at Aberdare hospital radio before moving on to do freelance work at CBC (Rebranded as Red Dragon FM in 1985) In 1996 Gareth moved on to present various shows at Valleys radio (Ebbw Vale) where he remained for ten years. In 2006 he commenced working as a football reporter for national station TALKsport followed by two years as a sports reporter for BBC 5live and BBC tv's Final Score. He also reported for Wales on Saturday, a sports magazine show broadcast on BBC Wales television. In 2011, Gareth joined Inrix media as a travel reporter providing updates for BBC Radio Wales, Real radio, (Rebranded as Heart in 2014) 96.4 The Wave, Swansea Sound and TALKsport. He is now a volunteer presenter on 107.9 GTFM based in Pontypridd.
