Pedagogy Field of Study (outline) edit

According to Rafael Flores Ochoa, the subject matter of Pedagogy is the forming of a human being. In this context, "forming" is understood as a process much deeper and torough than sheer instruction. On the contrary, it refers to the process of humanization, which according to modern phylosophers such as Kant and Roseau, consists of four vectors:

  • Universality
  • Autonomy
  • Intelligence
  • Fraternity

Thus formation can be defined as:

"Forming an individual in its most general sense is facilitating them to assume in their own lives their own concious direction, fraternally recognising their peers with the same rights and dignity."

Eligibility Criteria edit

In order to differienciate Pedagogy from other disciplines or sciencies such as psycology, sociology, etc. Flores Ochoa brings up the following elegibility criteria, which set the boundaries of pedagogy as a descipline in its own:
