Half-Hearted Yet Rambling Explanation of My Username edit

A cursory search of Google tells me that this phrase originated on the TV show Spaced, and also appeared in Shaun of the Dead. Now, I did watch SotD, and I quite liked it. But I don't remember that phrase. So, to the best of my knowledge, I came up with it independently. I like fried things, and I like gold, and I like the idea of liquid gold, and I like "fried" and "gold", so I ran them together. (Other than naming yourself something like, say, "Flooz", this seems to be the only way to get a unique name anymore on the old 'webs: take an adjective and combine it with a noun it doesn't make sense with.) Although, it does make me think of a Southern fast-food chicken joint advertising their delicious batter-dipped goods.

Yes! As of 2007-08-06, I'm in the top ten Google hits for "fried gold"! (Quotations included. Um, exclamation point not.)

Regrets edit

Man, I should've made my username José Citafuentes. That would've been the coolest Wikipedia name ever.

Also, add more useful userboxes.

Wikipedia Policies, Guidelines, and Help edit

Find out if there's some sort of centralized, all-encompassing index of the sprawling multitudes of these documents. Here it is!!! If there isn't [a better one], suggest creating one.

Also, maybe edit some policies pages (or just write an essay) to say that Wikipedia is after the TRUTH, specifically to maximize the chances of the reader knowing the truth about the subject after reading the article, but having policies like NOR, V, and NPOV is the only practical way to do this.

Maybe say that truth is necessary but not sufficient for inclusion in Wikipedia, whereas verifiability, which implies truth, is necessary and sufficient.

Improve the essay Template the Regulars edit

Because I basically agree with it but it could get its point across better.

What are our sources for geographic coordinates? edit

Ask these people.

Converting In-House Dictionary Pronunciations to IPA edit

Find out: if I cite a dictionary as a source for a pronunciation, but the dictionary doesn't use IPA, is my converting their in-house pronunciation key to IPA considered WP:OR?

Olt River edit

Maybe try to fix the list of tributaries in the infobox. If all of those tributaries were really "major", Romania would be underwater.

Powder (snow) edit

Either make this article, or expand on its section in Snow. Keep it NPOV, even though powder is objectively wonderful.

Merge Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn??? edit

They're two separate things, but being just mirror images of each other, can't all the information be combined except "the Tropic of x runs through places y and z"? And that can basically fit in a little table. Having an article for both is kind of like having an article for both right- and left-hand traffic.

Are there standard "borders" for the Strait of Gibraltar? edit

The IHO defines them, but I have no idea if that's a commonly accepted thing. If it is, it would be worth adding to the article.

Arabic alphabet (writing of the hamza) edit

Make this useless redirect stop showing up in the search-box suggestions!!!

Spanish_cuisine#Andalucia edit

"Often" = "menudo"???
