Edith Evans Asbury (1910 - 2006) was a print journalist whose 52-year career included positions at several notable publications, including 29 years at The New York Times. She retired in 1981.
Asbury graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1924.[1] In July 1929, she began working at The Cincinnati Times-Star.[2] She moved through several jobs, including work at The New York Post and The Associated Press, before joining the New York Times in 1952.[2]
